Everyone seems to be talking about attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), but what do we actually know? 

ADHD affects around one in 20 children and young people. This webinar will explore the latest research on ADHD in children, with a particular focus on early signs in primary school-aged girls and boys. Understanding how ADHD presents, especially across genders, is key to recognising it early and providing timely support. 

Dr Joanna Martin, Senior Research Fellow at Cardiff University, will share new findings from Wales on gender differences and signs that may be linked to ADHD in children. The session is ideal for parents and carers of primary school-aged children with confirmed or suspected ADHD, although all interested parents and carers are welcome. There will be an opportunity to ask questions after the talk, and the webinar recording will be made available on YouTube.
