Children’s Mental Health Week

4 February 2026

9–15 February 2026

We wanted to bring to your attention that next week is Children’s Mental Health Week (9th – 15th February 2026).

Children’s Mental Health Week has been empowering the voices of children and young people since it began in 2015, raising awareness of the importance of their wellbeing and mental health.

This year’s theme, “This is My Place”, focuses on belonging and supporting the systems around children and young people to help them feel safe, valued, and connected in their school or college environment and communities.

Place2Be’s website has lots of helpful resources to enable schools and families to participate in the week. This includes:

  • A useful pack, full of tips and activities for how your school can get involved in this Children’s Mental Health Week
  • Slides and guides which can be used to deliver an assembly or in class session for primary, secondary (11-14) and secondary (14+).
  • Printable posters for display in school.

We hope you have a wonderful week, celebrating young people’s wellbeing, and fostering inclusive and nurturing environments, where children and young people can say “This is My Place”.
