How to apply

Please read our Information for Researchers and Requirements for Researchers to find out more about what you need to do to qualify for Partnered Research Activities, and to get started on the application process.

If you are interested in applying, please email us (wisdom.network@psy.ox.ac.uk) and we will be touch to guide you through the application process.

We encourage interested researchers to get in touch as early as possible and before an application for ethical approval is submitted.

The Network may also be limited in the number of activities that can be partnered at any one time, and will prioritise the following:

  • Research activity from within the University of Oxford, Universities of Birmingham, Reading, Liverpool, Oxford Brookes and York, and Oxford Health, Berkshire Healthcare and Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trusts
  • Research activities must closely align with the aims and objectives of Mental Health in Development.

Partnership process:

  1. Researcher expresses an interest in partnering their research activity with the WISDOM Research Network
  2. WISDOM Research Network team has call with Researcher and sends Researcher link to application form
  3. Researcher completes application form
  4. WISDOM Research Network team assesses application and notifies researcher of outcome:
    • Acceptance
    • In principle acceptance (subject to ethical approval or other factors) or
    • Not accepted, with reason and option to resubmit. Suggested timeframe for partnership provided to Researcher.
  5. WISDOM Research Network provides Research Lead with Research Partnership Agreement for completion and signature and requests further information for inclusion in newsletter/other communications
  6. WISDOM Research Network confirms partnership, plans for advertising/support and provides Researcher with Network logo to include in research activity materials
  7. Researcher reports back to the WISDOM Research Network termly and at the end of the research activity.
