How we choose resources

The WISDOM Research Network team checks and approves resources prior to them being added to our website. The resources are reviewed according to the below criteria prior to approval and addition:

Relevant to Our Work – The aim of the resource is to benefit mental health in young people or in schools.

Age Appropriate – Resources are checked to ensure that they are appropriate for the primary audience of school staff but that any resources are also suitable for viewing by parents and young people. If the resource is intended for young people, it will be checked for age appropriate language and content.

Clear – Content is delivered in a clear manner, and that vocabulary used is not too clinical or academic in nature and is accessible to school staff.

Positive – The resource takes a positive approach to mental health and wellbeing.

Safe – No inappropriate images or content appear in the resource. Safeguarding will be considered.

Current – Resource and content is up to date and relevant.

Evidence-Informed – resource is based on evidence-based research which is referenced.

Although we check all the resources on our website according to the criteria above, we do not take responsibility for the recommendations, links, resources or content on third party sites.
